Tunnel in parkway

This weekend Logan and I went driving on the Blueridge Parkway. We got on the parkway about a mile from our house, and drove about 20 miles to Mount Pisgah to a height of 5,721 feet. The temperature started out at 75 F in Asheville, and at the height of the mountain it dropped to 61 F! We found a cool campground that we are thinking about trying out soon. Later in the afternoon, we went to Asheville Country Club to play a short round of golf. Actually, I didn't play, (and I don't play golf!) but I rode in the cart with Logan and took some cool pictures. There were some pretty geese that were waddling to the stream nearby. Also, we have turkeys that frequently walk by our front yard. This morning on the way to work, I stopped to get some shots.

Updates from Asheville

Logan and I are living in Asheville now. We are enjoying the cooler days here compaired to the hot Alabama scorchers. We have liked trying out new restaurants and going to the festivals downtown. There seems to be a lot to do in Asheville so far! Here is a picture from one of the trails that we hiked on right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
